Pakt für Forschung und Innovation
Work packages and tasks:

Generate a 10-fold haploid genome equivalent physical map of the barley genome by "High Information Content Fingerprinting (HICF)".

  1. Isolation of 350,000 BAC clones.
  2. Fragment analysis of 350,000 BAC clones by restriction and fluorescent-fragment labelling of fragments. Separation of labelled fragments on the ABI3730xl sequencer.
  3. Assembly of 350,000 BAC clones to built contigs of clones based on fragment analysis.
  4. Development of a database containing all data of fragment analysis and contig assembly.
