The Department of Genebank (including its branch with stations in Malchow and Groß Lüsewitz) and the Department of Administration and Central Services set up and maintain a QM system and were certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 in the scope of  "Research and Service on Plant Genetic Resources". The QM system shall provide and improve the neccessary means, rules and documents in order to maintain the material stored in the ex situ Genebank. In March 2010, both departments repeatedly proofed in audits that the developed QM system meets the requirements to receive a corresponding QM certificate. The audits were conducted by DQS - Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Zertifizierung von Managementsystemen, which issued the certificate to both departments.
