International Barley Core Collection
The International Barley Core Collection (BCC) is a research collection aiming at representing a maximum of diversity in wild and cultivated barley with a minimum of accessions. About 1,300 accessions are being available currently. Thereof, 300 varieties and land races are maintained in the Gatersleben Genebank. Information are available either via the
European Barley Database or via the Genebank Information System of IPK. The latter will also allow material requests.

- Vicia faba collection with specific chromosomal and genomic mutations (~ 120 samples)
- European Core Collection of garlic (~ 200 cryo samples)
