The Board of Trustees supervises the Management of the IPK. It reviews the financial management and approves the annual financial statement; it grants discharge for the past financial year.

The members of the Board of Trustees are: Representatives of the State of Saxony-Anhalt and the Federal Government, representatives of academic life, including, if possible, the rector of a neighbouring university.
