Collaboration with the bioinformatics group of Professor Ming Chen, Zhejiang University (2010-2011)

Within the frame of a collaboration with the bioinformatics group of Professor Dr. Ming Chen, Department of Bioinformatics, College of Life Sciences, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, P.R. China, software training, joint software development and collaborative research activities have been conducted. This initial research in 2010 and 2011 has been supported by the  NSFC (grant 31050110121) under the frame of "The Research Fund for International Young Scientists".  The National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) is an organization directly affiliated to the State Council for the management of the National Natural Science Fund. The goal of this research programme is to encourage excellent young foreign scientists to conduct basic research in mainland China, so as to promote the research collaboration and academic exchanges among Chinese and foreign scientists.

To continue and deepen the collaboration, support for two projects has been granted by the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (for Details, see "Projects" section).

Among the results of this collaboration two publications have been published:

2011
