For precise phenotyping of interactions between plants and their pathogens in high throughput manner, a Microphenomics facility is available at the IPK. This combination of automatic microscopes and digital image analysis allows pathogen identification and quantitative assessment of disease symptoms and host responses. Two microscopes with horizontally and vertically movable tables are used for this purpose. Up to 300 genotypes can be analyzed per week. For more information see DPPN.
