Since the Postdoc Board was founded in June 2012, it represents all scientific staff holding a doctoral degree at IPK. The main objectives of the Postdoc Board are:

• To represent the IPK Postdoc community and communicate their needs and wishes to the Board of Directors
• To provide information for Postdocs for their individual carrier planning and to help them to gain valuable skills with scientific and non-scientific courses or mini-symposia.
• To assist Postdocs who recently joined IPK with their start and integration at the institute

With the aim to work together as close as possible, every Board meeting is open for all IPK Postdocs. The open meetings enable them to actively influence the choice of offers at IPK. In this regard every Postdoc has the opportunity to voice his/her opinion, to vote for different courses and is invited to improve his/her managerial skills by helping to organize selected events.

The Postdoc Board represents scientists who just received their title, senior scientists as well as young group leaders. As a Postdoc, you are always welcome whether you need information, help or in case you want to participate in the work of the Board.

The PostDoc Boards of IPK and Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry (IPB) in Halle are currently establishing a cooperation to promote networking between the PostDocs of both institutes.
