Bioinformatics at the IPK

Bioinformatics at the IPK encompasses both computational biology and collaboration with experimental lab biology. Its organization reflects this dual mission: Groups with bioinformatics focus are distributed in the different departments to facilitate direct interaction with experimental lab biology. Five groups focus on applied bioinformatics. Two bioinformatics groups are embedded within lab research. All groups are centrally coordinated by two coordinators for biodiversity informatics ([link]Uwe Scholz) and systems analysis and modeling (N.N).
