Online Catalogue


The Online Public Access Catalogue lists all publications (journals and books) that are available at the IPK library.


The Union Catalogue (GVK) lists the collections of the institutions participating in the Common Library Network (GBV), which is a union of 7 Federal german states (Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein,Thuringia, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Saxony and Saarland). This Union Catalogue includes approx. 72.6 million title data with 183 million titles of ownerschip of books, journals, articles, conferences and electronic resources.
 All titles listed can be ordered as an Interlibrary-loan.


The ‚Karlsruhe Virtual Catalog‘ provides access to national and international bibliographical databases.



The access to the online full text of acquired journals is made possible with the Electronic Journals Library (EZB).
For some journals it is required to first log in an user account before the access is granted.

The Electronic Journals Library is a comprehensive database of scientific electronical journals.

The ISI Web of Science is an online citation index. The user can search and research for literature within the subject areas medicine, science, humanities, social sciences and economics.


PubMec documents medical paper that are published in journals and links to the full text.

This portal offers in cooperation with other libraries rapid access to biological, botanical and zoological literature and information for biologists. You can search in numerous catalogues, databases, journals and internet resources.

A specialized legal database of the publisher C.H. Beck which in addition to the comments and form books also contains the underlaying laws of the respective field of law of the publisher Nomos.
