The AgRover, a light-weight build off-road vehicle, allows the phenotyping of entire fields and parcels without affecting the plant population. Equipped with a camera for hyperspectral imaging, it is possible to scan whole plants from above and the side in short-wave infrared range, allowing conclusions about the physiological status of the plant, especially on the nutritional state, and indirectly the root zone. In high throughput manner fields of approx. 600x5 meters can be phenotyped. Thus, it is possible to analyze plants of several hundred lines or individual plants in a few hours.
