Live-cell analysis of H3K27me3 in plant development
Histone H3 lysine 27 trimethylation (H3K27me3) is a key epigenetic mark in many organisms, important for transcriptional control. Biochemical techniques and next generational sequencing have been widely applied to detect H3K27me3. However, the level of H3K27me3 is dynamic in different cells during plant development. To precisely detect H3K27me3, we aim to generate marker lines of H3K27me3 in Arabidopsis, to monitor dynamics of H3K27me3 in plant development. Nicotiana benthamiana and Arabidopsis will be used in the project.
