PhD Research Topic: Comparative chromatin analysis of supernumerary and standard chromosomes
Objectives: Compare the spatial distribution and chromatin composition of standard A chromosomes and supernumerary B chromosomes. This work will complement ongoing molecular profiling of the epigenetic and transcriptional states of A versus B chromosomes. Your qualifications and skills:
- You hold a MSc degree (or equivalent) in biology, biochemistry, crop science or a related field from a non-German university at the PhD start.
- Practical experience in chromosome and molecular biology is strongly desirable.
- Applicant must not have resided or worked in Germany during the last three years (or less than 12 months)
