COUSIN (https://cousinproject.eu/) is a Horizon Europe project that aims to develop and implement a roadmap for the use of crop wild relatives (CWR) for breeding and agriculture. The IPK's Genebank Documentation research group, together with a group from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC), is responsible for leading a work package to provide high quality data. This includes the development of the project data infrastructure and the connection to other information systems.

To strengthen the project team, we are looking for a scientific software developer (f/m/d) at the earliest possible date

Your tasks:

  • Collaboration in the establishment of the project data infrastructure using the Germinate system
  • Collection and implementation of use cases
  • Testing, error analysis and performance tuning
  • Supporting the project partners with data collection and provision

Your qualifications and skills:

  • You have a Master’s degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification or alternatively have professional experience in a scientific environment.
  • You have experience in the development of web applications.
  • You have experience in relational database development and data integration.
  • You have experience in supporting users.
  • You have a very good command of written and spoken English.

We offer you:

  • a full-time position limited to four years, maximum until 31.12.2028
  • a salary in accordance with the German TV-L pay scale up to pay group E13.
