Microscopy

As microscopy is required to characterise the cellular structures which underpin a number of agronomically relevant traits, it can make a positive contribution towards improving crop productivity.

Analysis based on a combination of cell biology approaches can significantly deepen our understanding of how plant metabolism and development are regulated. Methods able to either visualise certain cell processes dynamically or to localise specific gene products within a particular tissue or within a particular cell complement conventional morphological and ultrastructural analyses.

The excellent microscopy platform developed at IPK enables researchers to address many of their current scientific questions.
