On Wednesday, IPK scientist Narendra Narisetti received the Wernigerode Science Award at a ceremony held in Wernigerode Town Hall, attended by Saxony-Anhalt’s Minister of Science, Armin Willingmann. Nicolaus von Wirén delivered the laudatory speech.

In collaboration with the German Red Cross (DRK), the IPK is holding its first blood donation session on 29 October. Nils Stein initiated this campaign, but this day also has special significance for Katrin Menzel.

Next Wednesday marks the start of the next Gatersleben Research Conference (GRC), which is being held as the ‘19th International Symposium on Integrative Bioinformatics’ (IB). Conference chair Uwe Scholz discusses perennial topics such as the FAIR principles and emerging trends such as artificial intelligence (AI), as well as the speaker he is most looking forward to hearing.
