Abstract:

The AEGIS Project

During this talk I will introduce the AEGIS project, which aims to improve the resilience of crops and cropping systems by using “nature’s” past solutions to climate change. The talk will cover: the rationale behind AEGIS, and introduction to Environmental DNA and Ancient DNA that constitutes the methodological backbone of AEGIS, as well as a few preliminary findings.
